Question: What would you say to a person who only speaks the truth?
Answer:
First of all I would be a bit careful and suspicious, as in order to speak the truth one would need to escape the inherently self-serving, self-justifying nature and the resulting subjective point of view which inherently prevents us from “seeing” and “speaking” the truth.
Moreover I would be able to tell if that person is speaking the truth if I myself already achieved the same “supernatural” – above inherent nature – feat of seeing and speaking the truth. After all unless I myself know what the truth is I have no ability to tell if the other is speaking the truth.
But if I already have to ability to tell whether the other is speaking the truth since I also speak the truth, there is nothing left to say, the truth speaks for itself.
