Bad People With A Good Spark

Question: Why do people do bad in the world, when we could all be happy and do good?

Answer: This is THE question of our times. And the answer is not easy to accept. We are raised, educated to believe that there is “inherent good” in us. But in truth we do not have any good in us by default, except a small, dormant spark, that can – in the right circumstances – later awaken true “goodness” inside us.

By default we are all born with an inherently selfish, egoistic, greedy and hateful nature. Now this is not “evil”, it is not a “sin”, since we have absolutely no free choice about the nature natural evolution gave birth to us. Up to this point Humanity has evolved instinctively, blindly following this inherent nature, again and again corrupting, distorting the best plans, ideas, systems.

This is why Human history is a helplessly recurring chain of vicious cycles. Today we are approaching an inevitable, mutually assured self-destruction on multiple levels of Human activity.

Fortunately at the same time that so far dorman spark of “good” in us started to awaken in masses of people, with the disturbing question about “meaning/purpose of life”. If we place this budding spark into the right, “fertile” environment, using the appropriate, purposeful and practical educational method, then we can develop a second nature, a different, altruistic inclination in us, that will be able to balance, neutralize our original nature.

Then within the sharp contrast in between the original and acquired nature, in between the “good and evil” in us we become “truly Human beings”, capable of true free choice and capable of doing good.
