Question: Can you gain experience if you don’t make mistakes?
Answer: No, we can’t.
Mistakes have a negative connotation and our inherently proud, self-justifying nature hates them, but mistakes are not actually “mistakes”. They are simply dead ends while we scan and map reality, nature’s cause and effect processes.
These dead ends, ticking out seemingly useless, unproductive directions are just as important for progress as “successes”.
When we look at life as a cosmic educational process leading to a single, “higher”, final purpose we stop looking at things as “positive” or “negative”. We look at and use everything as purposeful.
