Question: Would you say that ‘happy’ or ‘unhappy’ is the baseline for humanity?
Answer: Yes, we can say that. Our “matter”, the engine that drives us is the desire for fulfilment, pleasures for ourselves. We constantly need to feel a state of contentment, “happiness” which comes from the perfect fulfilment of our desires.
The fact that our generation is the most unhappy in Human history – despite having more pleasures, fulfillments available than ever before, still not only not looking forward to the future but outright fearing it, while emptiness, depression, substance abuse is flooding our societies like a tsunami – shows that we still do not know how to make ourselves and others happy.
The problem is that we are programmed, educated to search pleasures individually, only for ourselves – most of the time at the expense of others. But true contentment, happiness can only be achieved, revealed in collective, mutual vessels.
True happiness is a collective, Human, emotional impression that arises through positive, mutually supportive and mutually complementing relationships.
Humanity will achieve our purpose in life, infinite, unblemished happiness only, when we learn how to give pleasures, happiness selflessly, unconditionally to each other, while fully trusting the others to safeguard, provide our own fulfillment, happiness.
Thus we need a unique, purposeful educational method that can teach us how to build “mutual guarantee” we have to build our societies on.
