Question: What’s something you’re glad you taught yourself?
Answer: I am very glad that after all I did not teach myself anything. Teaching ourselves is like a dog chasing its own tail. We are born with an inherently self-serving, self-justifying and egoistic nature, viewing reality in a completely subjective, introverted fashion.
If I try to teach myself then I keep myself in the same, dark, limited and inevitably corrupted cocoon I was born into, without any chance of escaping into the “real world”.
If I want to become a “better person”, if I want any chance of gaining a truly objective, transparent, accurate perception of reality, in order to see the truly perfect world around me, I need to leave my own reason, “intelligence” and logic behind, forget everything that was installed on my inherent “hard-disk”.
I need to upload information, software “from the outside”, from “wise teachers”, through a “wise method” that is uncorrupted by selfish, egoistic calculations. This uncorrupted Wisdom does not come from other people, they simply transmit Nature’s infinite, “Universal Mind” through their selfless, clean “pipelines”.
