Question: In your view, is free will an illusion?
Answer: No, it is not an illusion, but this concept – according to the Wisdom of Kabbalah – is very different from how we presently see it.
Our free will is not in what we do, how our – otherwise predetermined – life unfolds. Our freedom is in how we relate to what happens to us, how much we understand the purposeful, “educational” process we go through.
And this depends on our willingness to learn, fully understand the predetermined, intelligent plan of evolution and its goal.
I am not saying this is easy to accept, our whole mindset, upbringing, education protests against this view. On the other hand this is the “truth” and through it we can open a completely new, unbounded and eternal dimension of existence, here and now!
