Question: Is there a single, guiding philosophy of life?
Answer: Yes there is, but at the same time this principle is probably the most misunderstood one in Human history.
Almost all religions, spiritual teachings, moral codes contain some version of “Love Thy Friend as Thyself”. But most of the time this principle is left as “philosophy, religious dogma, mysticism or “New Age” spiritual slogan.
But “Love Thy Friend as Thyself” – supported by the preliminary step of “Do not do to others what you yourself hate” – is the archaic, poetic description of nature’s most fundamental law applied to Human relationships.
The most important law in nature is the law of “mutual guarantee”, all comprising elements selflessly, unconditionally serving, supporting, complementing each other – above any selfish, subjective calculations – in order to maintain balance and homeostasis, without which life is not possible.
Today – in the globally integrated and interdependent world, where Humanity has practically became one, single organism – the time has come to bring this all-important principle “down from heaven”. We need to learn through the appropriate, purposeful educational method how to implement this principle in our day to day life, facilitating Humanity’s problem solving ability, safeguarding our collective survival “as one man with one heart”.
