Question: What’s the luckiest thing to happen to you professionally?
Answer: Since everything is based on education, collecting practical experience, I think the luckiest thing that happened to me was meeting the teachers I had along the way, especially since I started practicing surgery, learning from others everything I know and do today.
It is not easy to learn so I guess the even luckier thing that happened to me was that I somehow managed to lower my pride, my self-importance, so I could absorb the advice and the teachings of those others.
After all only the “smaller” can learn from the “greater”, and how “great” the other is depends on how “small” I make myself.
