Question: Are you a bad person if you secretly get pleasure out of other people’s failures?
Answer: We can call this by any name we want, but in truth we are all like this. As a result of our inherently self-serving, self-justifying and greedy nature we all cherish ruthless, exclusive, exploitative competition, succeeding at the the expense of others.
But this is not really “bad”, “evil” or “sinful”. After all we are born like this, Natural evolution gave us these qualities, we had no free choice about them. Such expressions as “bad/evil/sinful? apply only when on already has free choice in the matter.
This free choice starts in our generation. Now that we have understood that we evolved into a globally integrated and interdependent world, where our inherent nature has become like cancer – recklessly consuming everything including itself – and we also have a method and capability to change ourselves, from now on the true “period of reward and punishment” starts.
From now on we have only ourselves to blame if we do not understand that we have to build a Human society based on “Mutual Guarantee” through the right, purposeful and practical educational method.
