Question: Why does making yourself have a purpose in life make you so sleepy?
Answer: Because identifying an overall purpose and sticking to it through everything is against our inherently selfish, egoistic nature, that doesn’t want to move out of comfort zone unless it can receive greater pleasures or it had to escape immediate pain, suffering.
A distant, overall purpose isn’t attractive for the ego that wants immediate, guaranteed self-fulfillment.
This is why if we are serious about reaching our Human purpose in life, we need to enter a unique, purposeful, mutually supportive, mutually complementing environment.
Such an environment can utilize even the seemingly negative attributes of envy, desire for self-respect in order to keep pulling, pushing us progressing towards our purpose.
