Question: What are some hard pills to swallow in life?
Answer: The hardest pill is – as they so beautifully expressed in the movie “Cloud Atlas” – that our lives are not our own. We are all but individual cogwheels, individual cells in a vast, cosmic natural system, organism.
Thus contrary to our default, proud, individualistic and egoistic software telling us to live only for our own sake, we need to purposefully, methodically learn how to exit the selfish, subjective cocoons and start existing for the sake of others, for the sake of the whole system.
Paradoxically it is specifically by this that we become truly free (of our egoistic self) and start controlling the whole cosmic system by our positive, altruistic contribution, while fully understanding the purpose and evolutionary plan of the whole Universe as if we ourselves created it.
