From “Me” To “WE”

Question: How “we-as a society” can make world a better place?

Answer: You beautifully answered your own question. Only through a society that considers itself “WE”, instead of each member remaining in the “I” can we build a better world.

Since we have evolved into a globally integrated and fully interdependent world – which change is irreversible – only through unity, through positive, mutually responsible and mutually complementing interconnections can we find solutions for global problems – and there are no “non-global” problems in a global world. Only as WE can we facilitate Humanity’s survival.

The problem is that this “WE-society” is against our inherently self-serving, egoistic, proudly individualistic nature. This is why Humanity has been failing with its myriad of efforts to build unity, mutual cooperation. We can finally conclude that politics, economics, social studies or military actions – each based on the same inherently egoistic, selfish and hateful paradigm – cannot help us.

This is why at this unique crossroads of history we urgently need a unique, purposeful and practical educational method that can help us – through positive motivation, without coercion or trickery – rise above our inherent nature and build our unlikely unity, “WE-society”.
