Special Life Well Lived

Question: Among the people you have known, who has led a life well lived? What made it so special?

Answer: There are stories even books written about terminally ill people, who – after they let go of their inherent self-concern, fear of death, solemnly accepting their “death sentence” from their illnesses – started unconditionally caring for, serving others in their “remaining time”.

As a result some of them literally extended their lives much longer than expected, moreover they declared that those weeks, months, years they lived disconnected from themselves, only existing for others, was the best, most fulfilling, true part of their Human existence.

The life we live for others is incomparably, qualitatively higher, richer, truer and happier than the life we live only for ourselves.
