Question: Why is it so rare to find a truly disciplined person?
Answer: Because “discipline” in itself doesn’t work. Creating a “military style” framework, habit makes sense only when it is created for an overall goal, purpose one wants to achieve.
And this overall goal, purpose has to be steadfast, “engraved” into one’s life, ruling over any other need, goal, activity.
There is only one such goal, purpose that can render everything else purposeful, “falling into line”: our overall evolutionary Human purpose in existence.
And even this purpose needs constant strengthening, reminders so we don’t lose sight of it. Thus in order to become and remain disciplined we need a closed, purposeful, mutually supportive and mutually complementing group that reminds us to our overall purpose, making it the most important thing in our life.
