Question: Can persistence always be a substitute for talent?
Answer: Yes, especially if the persistence is done through a purposeful, mutually supportive, mutually complementing environment.
It is even more so if our goal is to become “truly Human” which means full integration with other similarly inclined Human beings. In that context inherent, individual talent serves one purpose: to detach from it, renounce it, rise above it and start again with whatever the environment gives to the person by using the environment as an incubator.
It follows the saying, “one can’t fill a cup that’s already full”. If our cup is filled with our inherently proud knowledge, beliefs, self-serving reason, we are stuck and we can’t grow, develop, upgrade ourselves.
