Question: What do you think the biggest moment is in a teenagers life?
Answer: The “horrific” recognition that one has become responsible for one’s own life, the moment of “becoming adult”.
It is interesting that in traditional cultures this “turning point” is celebrated, marked at early teenage years (12–14 years of age), expecting the young teenegers to be fully responsible members of the society from then on.
In order to make it possible, to make it a positive experience, we need to adjust, tailor our upbringing, education accordingly.
Today the whole of Humanity has to grow up, leaving the irresponsible “childhood” we have been stuck in for thousands of years in order to survive and build better, peaceful and prosperous societies for all.
