Question: Do you have to be insane to be a genius?
Answer: I think the definition of both needs clarification, but overall the answer is yes.
In order to be a genius, to reveal, find completely new, unprecedented things, one needs to be “insane”, in other words one had to be “out of one’s previous mind”, losing previous logic, upbringing, education.
Only when we managed to free ourselves from everything previously engraved, can we be filled with some new, revolutionary ideas, impressions.
In order to learn new things we have to go through constant renewals, emptying out vessels, preparing then for new knowledge.
