Question: Is it bad to think “that’s not my problem so I don’t need to help that person”?
Answer: It is the right reaction according to our “healthy”, inherently egocentric, self-justifying, subjective “operating program”.
On the other hand it is the wrong, “suicidal” reaction in the globally integrated and fully interdependent world we evolved into, where we all become like single cells, cogwheels in a fully, intricately united “super-organism”, mechanism where each have to contribute to the survival, well-being of the whole.
Thus we need a unique, integral education to help us understand that by following our instinctive, selfish attitude we will die, while by rising above “ourselves” and start selflessly, unconditionally supporting, serving each other we will survive and rise to a quantitatively higher level of existence!
