Answer: While we develop instinctively, blindly following our inherently self-centered, self-justifying, egoistic and subjective nature, both individually and collectively we follow a path that is a chain of recurring, vicious cycles.
When we start a new developmental path, consciously, proactively going against our inherent nature, acquiring a new, opposite, selfless and altruistic intention, our progress becomes “oscillating”. We go through constant ups and downs, riding a true rollercoaster as a result of the inner war in between the original, instinctive and the new, acquired nature.
As we gain experience, and learn how to stabilise the two contrasting inclinations, we can gradually plot a direct, straight path in the middle…
