Question: Would you rather have a rewind button or a pause button on your life?
Answer: Personally I would choose the “pause button”.
While imagining what we could do with the “rewind button” is nice, but in reality it is impossible to go back in time.
Moreover as we start studying the practical, scientific method that explains reality, its evolutionary plan, giving us the tools to adapt to this plan, we understand that everything that happened so far had to happen exactly that way, in order to give us the best possible chance, free choice to decide what to do next.
This is why the “pause button” is useful. By pausing, taking a deep breath, rising above instinctive reactions, blind, automatic actions we can scrutinize that best course of action we can take from now on.
By pausing, clearing our head – as if watching ourselves from the side – we can take our free choice in the best possible way.
And that free choice – being evolved into a going integrated, interdependent world – always points towards greater integration, qualitatively higher mutual connection with others.
