Question: Is socialism a more emotionally intelligent economy than capitalism?
Answer: Neither is better than the other.
Capitalism is closer to our inherently self-serving, self-justifying, greedy, subjective nature, socialism is closer to the altruistic, fully integrated, interdependent Natural system we exist in, we need to adapt to.
Thus we need a system that takes into consideration our nature but still facilitates our benevolent integration with each other, and thus facilitating Humanity’s crucially necessary integration into Nature’s system.
The unique answer is a society built on “mutual guarantee”, where we all use our capitalist tendencies, aspirations for each other’s sake in a mutually responsible, mutually complementing manner, where we can all aim at as much profit we want, but not for ourselves, for others, still receiving everything we need from those others who work only for our sake.
